How make great clothing choices for your senior portraits
Ok Class of 2019 Kat Mack Photography is ready to make you look like a rock star! ... In Houston Texas, Senior Portraits are a rite of passage, but where do you start? Start by picking out the clothes that fit your style! I know what you’re thinking ... Your closet is full of clothes, and you can’t find a thing wear, so I have compiled some great ideas to help you make great selections so that will look and feel your best in your photo session.
Variety is the spice of life!
Choose more versatile outfits. We love trendy fashion! It's a good idea to include both casual and a more formal outfit in your senior portraits. You choose one and let Mom choose one, that way everyone is happy. You can also bring a prom dress or a uniform that shows off a sport your took part in.
Tips & Tricks: The Skinny on Stripes
Try to stay clear of stripes. (Large bold ones are tolerable. Small thin ones will not photograph well. It's best to not use any stripes or solids with 1-2 stripes or lines.
Your face should be the focal point of your portraits. Loud colors and busy patterns can be very distracting in your photos. Avoid large & bold patterns that might draw attention away from your face. Long sleeve solids or very subtle prints are usually the most flattering.
Some poses will show your shoes so don't forget to bring shoes & socks for each outfit that you plan to wear. Barefoot and sandals and cowboy boots ! White socks don't photograph well, so bring darker ones too (just in case they show!) Guys... don't forget those belts and Gals...don't forget your accessories!
We have compiled some great outfit ideas from some awesome stores like Old Navy, American Eagle, and Kohl’s just to name a few. You don’t have to spend a million buck to look like a million bucks!
