Senior year of high school is one of the most important milestones in our lives. All that hard work has paid off as you are poised to graduate. You’ll always have the memories, but which do you want to be captured in professional photography? Which activities do you want to spotlight as the most important and representative of who you are?
It’s time to celebrate your achievements with Kat Mack Photography. Kat takes portraiture to the next level, understanding the uniqueness of each client and drawing out a subject’s own creativity.
Plus, if you join the senior models program your experience goes beyond a single session to an opportunity to receive incentives for referrals. For example, Kat Mack Photography takes senior models on the Senior Safari photo shoot outing. In June 2015, Kat Mack and her senior model representatives from the Class of 2016 and Class of 2015 hit the road to Galveston for images taken along The Strand, on the beach, and on the Pleasure Pier.
The added experience from being a senior model gives the students more images to show off and even more understanding of themselves, program participants said.
“It’s so beneficial for us because we get to do all this fun stuff and we get such good deals with this, like being able to go to Galveston for the day and getting to do a shoot,” said Kelsey, Class of 2016. “Being in front of the camera, I think that’s a lot of fun. I used to not like my picture being taking at all,” but now she is very comfortable and relaxed in front of the camera. “You get to do fun stuff and be yourself.”
Emily, Class of 2016, agrees that working with Kat Mack Photography can bring out more of one’s confidence: “Before this year, I was very, very shy. Not only with cameras, but just in general. I never talked. I never spoke out. I was very quiet. Now, I’m a social butterfly and I love taking pictures,” she said after the day trip to Galveston. “I love to express myself with different scenery in the different places that we go. I think it’s super cool and other people should try it too. If they’re in their shell, they should definitely try it and see if it’s for them.”
All the senior models recognize how pivotal this time is in their lives and they want to share it with family through Kat Mack Photography.
“So much can change in just a couple of months or even a year and I want to see the difference in myself now and future me. It’s kind of a time capsule of myself. It’s pretty cool,” Emily added.
Sacheen, Class of 2015, really appreciates the versatility Kat Mack brings to her work, noting that some of her portraits were taken in an urban setting, which was “amazing,” and other portraits highlighted Sacheen’s soccer skills.
“My favorite about this time in my life is being able to put my achievements out there for the world to see and get it displayed through photography with Kat Mack,” Sacheen said. “Especially with Kat Mack Photography I get to display that. If I have anyway awards, I can put that in a picture. Basically, I get to put myself first and it comes through in her photography.”
Another senior model, Derek, noted the sessions are more “casual and relaxed” than he had expected. The variety in the scenery, such as running down the beach, brings out a lot of possibilities for creative poses and great images. Derek said he previously thought portrait photography was formal, but that wasn’t the case as he posed with aviator sunglasses and a collared shirt with shorts at the shore, accented by a confident grin. “I’m not really a camera person, but now I see it’s so fun.”
